Pharmacy Colleges Courses In India

At the undergraduate level, both diploma and degree courses in pharmaceutical science are being offered by a number of universities and specialized colleges of pharmacy. Only students of science (Physics, chemistry and biology /mathematics) are eligible to apply for graduation programmes in Pharmaceutical sciences.

The two year Diploma in Pharmacy is the minimum qualification prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India for registration as a Registered Pharmacist. The B.Pharm Degree course (4 years duration) is done through competitive examinations conducted along with medical college entrance tests.

A graduate in Pharmacy, i.e. B.Pharm., degree holder is automatically recognized as an approved chemist and openings are available to him/her as an Analytical Chemist, Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Research Officer, Medical Representative etc..
